Dining Terrace

Thursday, and the long light through the doors.

History

Stone laid hard against the house's southeast corner, opening off the dining room through French doors so that Thursday takes exactly the route it takes indoors. Immediately west the ground drops nine feet to the Sunken Terrace, which is why the table faces the way it does.

Right now

The pear tree by the steps is finally producing. Nobody is to touch the pears — it is the one fruit tree on the property that is not the Food Forest's, and that is the whole point of it.
