Grand Entry Hall

History

The hall is almost exactly as Jules' grandmother left it: the same tile, the same picture rail, the same slightly wrong angle where the house settled in 1906. The restoration cleaned it and changed nothing.

Right now

Jules has been matching replacement tile from a yard in Sonoma. Four pieces in, nobody can tell which four.

  Brass, original, mounted slightly off-centre because the wall is. Jules refused to move it.
