The morning route

Six weeks of running the same loop and it has never once been the same loop. The light does all the editing.

The garden path faces east, which means for about eleven minutes it is the best room on the property and nobody is in it. I have started stopping at the third bend, which ruins the run and improves the day.

Today: the sun came straight up the axis at dawn and the hedges threw shadows forty feet back. I took four frames and three of them are useless and one of them I will be thinking about for a month.

Ember says I photograph like someone apologising. She is right, and I am going to keep doing it.
